ASHLYN MILLER, RYT 200
Certified Yoga Instructor

Life happens, every day, and as human BEINGS we ebb & flow with the tides of our life. These tides may bring happiness & joy one day, only to appear as sadness, stress or anxiety another. We have to remember to take time to simply just BE in these cycles without judgement or criticism for the process, remembering we are human BEINGS not human DOINGS.

I know how easy it is to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of everyday life, trying to live up to never-ending expectations so often, that we end up trying to pour from an empty cup. This can become overwhelming and downright painful. Yoga entered my life five years ago and brought a glimmer of hope that quickly evolved in to a lifestyle, and now a career. The impact of yoga through my own personal trials, has fueled my passion to share it with others.

When people tell me, they can’t do yoga, my response is always, “Can you breathe?”, and the answer is always, “Yes.”  Whether you’re new to yoga or a seasoned veteran, join me for class and tap in to the power that exists inside of you.

I have worked with a range of people in a variety of settings, and one thing I constantly hear is how much lighter people feel after carving out time for a class. I once had a woman state “I feel human again” after a class, which was profound to me. Yoga is a practice of reconnecting to our humanity, our essence; what a gift!

Professional Background: In the last five years, I have worked in numerous roles, each taking on a different shape, but always focused on helping others navigate through the murky waters of life. I have a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science Degree from Western Carolina University and am a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance. I have experience teaching in many different settings in the USA and EU.

Personally: I am currently in school in Asheville, working to become certified as a Holistic Health Counselor, specializing in Ayurveda (yoga’s sisters science). I love to get outside in nature, curl up with a good book, traverse into the unknown through traveling. If I’m not doing school work, you can catch me on my mat either teaching or being a student. I feel truly blessed that life put me on a path where I am able to empower and help others live to their full potential.
