No matter who you are, no matter what you did, no matter where you’ve come from,
DIAMOND TURNER, LPCA
Licensed Professional Counselor Associate
Sometimes it seems like you’re shouting into the void, but you aren’t being heard. You’ve been trying your best and it just seems like nothing is going the way you need it to. If you’re almost to the end of your rope, or perhaps you’re just getting started, I’m here for you. You deserve to be heard.
I am passionate about supporting adults, teens, and couples, guiding them to the path they were always meant to take. If you’re feeling lost, I offer non-judgemental feedback through authentic interactions, positive validation, empathy, and advocacy. I am an ally for the LGBTQ community, and appreciate standing with my clients who struggle with related stigmas. With me, you are safe to be your authentic self, especially if you’ve had less-than-ideal experiences with therapy in the past.
When working with me, teens and adults start to gain a better sense of who they really are. They learn how to communicate well, and be heard. They feel understood and respected.
Professional Background: Over the years, in a variety of settings, I have supported children, adults, and families with anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, career challenges, and life adjustments. I spent one year in Madrid, Spain, helping high school students learn English, as well as supporting them through their transitive years. I am fluent in Spanish, and have years of experience working with Spanish-speaking clients.
I received two Bachelor degrees – one in Psychology and one in Spanish – from Francis Marion University in Florence, SC. I earned my Master of Education degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at North Carolina State University, and am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate.
Personally: A few of my hobbies include singing, discovering new music, playing video games, learning more about technology, and cooking!
