Extreme Hardship Evaluations

Hardship evaluations are often requested to show the emotional, psychological, and relational impact that your deportation will have on a U.S. citizen family member. Our reports aim to provide a professional and compassionate understanding of your family’s circumstances.

VAWA Evaluations

VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) evaluations document the impact of abuse by a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident spouse, parent, or child. These evaluations require sensitivity, safety, and a trauma-informed approach. Our priority is to honor your story while creating a report that clearly connects clinical findings to the requirements of a VAWA petition.

U-Visa and T-Visa Evaluations

When seeking legal protection in the U.S, U-Visa evaluations are designed to document the psychological impact of surviving a serious crime and the resulting trauma. T-Visa evaluations support individuals who have survived human trafficking. We work at your pace and with compassion, ensuring that your experience is documented in a way that is clinically sound and respectful of what you have endured.

Asylum Evaluations

Asylum evaluations often involve individuals who have fled persecution, violence, or serious threats in their country of origin. Through cultural humility, clinical expertise, and deep respect for your story, our goal is to provide a clear, professional evaluation that helps decision-makers understand the psychological realities behind your asylum claim.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why would I get an immigration psychological evaluation?

Not every immigration case requires a clinical evaluation. An evaluation is typically requested when emotional or psychological factors are relevant to the legal criteria of a case, such as hardship, trauma, abuse, or fear of harm. It builds a connection between the clinical requirements and the human story behind your case. When needed, immigration evaluations can serve as vital supporting evidence to strengthen your petition. Your attorney can help determine whether an evaluation would be necessary in your case.

What should I expect during the immigration evaluation process?
Prior to the evaluation, we’ll have a 15-minute phone consultation to discuss your situation and needs. The evaluation usually involves two clinical interviews (in person or virtual) where you are asked about your background, experiences, current emotional well-being, and how your immigration situation has affected you. Some evaluations may include questionnaires or standard assessments. The information is compiled into a detailed report, submitted as evidence in your immigration petition. The process moves at a respectful and supportive pace.
Will this evaluation determine whether my case is approved?

No. A clinical evaluation does not decide the outcome of an immigration case, although it can significantly strengthen your case. Attorneys use the clinical evaluation as corroborating evidence to support legal arguments in an immigration petition. The report helps translate personal experiences into professional clinical language, documents psychological harm or hardship, and connects mental health findings to the specific criteria required for the type of immigration relief being sought. It helps immigration officials understand the psychological and emotional impact related to your petition.
